Paying musicians matters and as I recall, Palmer moaned about not being paid and being called fat and ugly but when it comes time for her to act responsibly, she can't be bothered. Just as an aside: in hindsight, I think "One Way Trigger" ended up working well as a lead single for Comedown Machine. It braced me for a stylistic departure and probably lowered my expectations for the album (though it's not like they were really big to begin with). After hearing the whole record, the song makes more sense in context and I don't think it's as bad as I originally thought.
