The weather grows colder, the sky darker and the year draws to an end. For most people this means making their Christmas wish lists and hoping Santa brings them what they ask for. But in the music fan world we focus on a different kind of list– ones that result from what we’ve already been given this year, not what we’d like to receive.
That’s right- the Best of 2011. For most of us that have gone to dozens and dozens of shows and listened to hundreds of new albums, it’s not something to take lightly.
We’ll be holding our December #yegmusicclub meeting at 2pm on Dec. 11 at Original Joe’s Varsity to share our Best of lists with each other and debate the finer points of albums released in 2011. If you’d like to wage into battle with us (and make no mistake, it could get fierce)- new members are always welcome. Please bring your lists: Top 10 Albums, Top 10 Songs and Top 5 Gigs for the year, or whatever music-related list you want to share.
